The Norwegian offshore company Songa has given a 1.1 billion US$ order for two submersible drilling rigs to Daewoo[ds_preview] Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). Their delivery is due in the second half of 2014. They will be chartered from Songa to Norway’s state-owned oil firm Statoil for eight years, DSME said. An option for two similar rigs has also been signed.
