»POSH Xanadu« is an offshore accommodation to support the maintenance, hookup and commissioning of platforms and floating production units in all weather and sea conditions offshore. The first-of-its-kind vessel is housing 750 passengers and crew in 390 cabins. Imtech Marine, through its Service and Nav/Com brand Radio Holland, is technology partner of PaxOcean in this project, as wells as in the sister vessel »POSH Arcadia«.

The Imtech systems were specifically required to meet the higher specifications as put forward by DNV regulations but also the requirements of the end user Petrobras, the company stated. Imtech Marine and PaxOcean had worked together on the Technical Agreement.

As Imtech Marine informed, it has built a strong partnership with PaxOcean Zhuhai and PaxOcean Zhoushan over the last years. Both shipyards are specialized in building Offshore Support Vessels such as Light Construction Vessels, Anchor Handling Tugs, Platform Supply Vessels and ASD Tugs. The companies worked together on about 30 of their vessels supplying Navigation and Communication equipment onboard.

In the 4th quarter of 2014, Imtech Marine signed on for two new projects including five vessels of which three are Platform Supply Vessels and two are Anchor Handling Tugs.
