MKG, Germany’s crane manufacturer from 1969 onwards, offers a wide range of hydraulic marine cranes from 4,5m/t to 125m[ds_preview]/t capacity in knuckle boom-, telescopic- and stiff- boom design. The cranes may be registered with all international classification societies and equipped with hydraulic cargo- or men-riding winches, radio remote control and many other accessories to suit the job aboard all kinds of vessels. Protection against corrosive environment includes an electrostatic coating process and stainless steel components.

A new 80m/t knuckle boom crane with up to eight hydraulic extensions has just been released and offers a maximum reach of 20,35m. Lifting capacity at short reach exceeds 20.000 kg. MKG’s 29m/t knuckle boom cranes have been installed on coast-guard vessels in service with the Belgian Navy, for instance. These cranes are equipped with a radio remote control and registered with DNV GL and Bureau Veritas (BV.) They meet all demands not only for calm waters but also sea-state 5 at reduced payload by change-over device. Another four cranes (15m/t) have just been delivered to the Kuwait Coast Guard and two units (54m/t) to the Irish Navy.
