Janich & Klass, a manufacturer of Industrial PC systems and document imaging products[ds_preview], has launched its own line of Marine- Panel- PCs, the PPC 3 M24 STD i25. The computers are designed specifically for maritime applications. They feature a 24-inch monitor, capacitive multi-touch-screens and the fourth generation Intel Core processor (i5- 4300U). Additional features include two RS485 interfaces, an USB 2.0 interface on the connection side, a hardware monitor for survey of temperatures and voltages and a power supply of 24V DC. The new panel PCs for visualization, monitoring and control have been DNV GL certified for environment category C. An extension of the product line is already in the works, stated the company. Furthermore, Janich & Klass is offering customized devices based on its current line of products.
