Port sees massive private investments

Sea-Invest group plans the construction of a new tanker terminal in[ds_preview] the Delwaide dock in the port of Antwerp representing an investment of 250mill. €. Sea-Tank Terminal Antwerp, a subsidiary of Sea-Invest group, plans the construction of a dedicated tank terminal. The area ecompasses approx. 465,000m2 with a quay length of 1,250m. Acting through its subsidiary Belgian New Fruit Wharf (BNFW), Sea-Invest group has already negotiated with various deepsea container lines. The acquisition of Independent Maritime Terminal (IMT) will enable Sea-Tank Terminal to build a new liquid bulk facility in the Hansa dock for latter customer Total. Houston-based terminal operator Zenith Energy, that carries out storage and distribution of petroleum, refinery products, natural gas liquids and petrochemical products, will invest 250mill. €. It encompasses a 500,000m3 storage area but the company wishes to expand to 1,000,000m3 soon.
