The refrigerant compressor specialist presents the next compressor generation for CO2 applications[ds_preview]. With the new Ecoline+ 6-cylinder reciprocating compressors for transcritical CO2 applications Bitzer uses CO2 as a sustainable refrigerant. The Ecoline+ range is characterized by three elementary improvements: a new engine technology has been developed to series-production readiness to achieve new levels of energy efficiency.
Together with the mechanical power control, which is also new for transcritical CO2 applications, the system efficiency in full and partial load operation increases significantly. In order to take full advantage of the potential of the new technologies in terms of energy efficiency and easy integration into chiller systems and to ensure a simple service, the IQ modules have been developed as a new operating concept.
These modules are also used with the Ecoline+ compressors. The IQ Modul CM-RC-01 thus offers integrated intelligence in a new handling concept. It ensures the optimum efficiency of the oil supply, the oil-fueled heating and the new CRII performance control specially designed for CO2 applications.
