The Damen Shipyards Group has recently del[ds_preview]ivered the »Capo Boeo«,an ASD Tug 2810, to Rimorchiatori Augusta. It will be used in the Sicilian Port of Augusta.
The about 28.70 m long and 10.40 m wide newbuilding arrived in Sicily at the beginning of December. »Capo Boeo« sailed on her own keel from Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam. According to Damen the tug has been outfitted with two Caterpillar 3516C TA HD/C main engines with a total power of 3,730 bkW. Furthermore two US 205 Rolls-Royce Azimuth thrusters are installed.
The delivery of the vessel took place on 7 December in the port of Augusta.
Rimorchiatori Augusta is a new venture for the Rimorchiatori Riuniti group. The »Capo Boeo« is the first new vessel for the company, demonstrating its commitment to future operations in the port.
Sixth vessel in the fleet
Damen has delivered vessels to the Rimorchiatori Riuniti previously. Recent orders were two ASD Tugs 2913 and an ASD Tug 2411. The »Capo Boeo« is the sixth Damen vessel to join the Rimorchiatori Riuniti fleet.
