COSCO Nantong Shipyard has entered into a [ds_preview]shipbuilding contract with Hong Kong-based Everbright International Offshore to construct one multi purpose wind farm support unit.

According to COSCO, the parties have agreed to keep the contract price confidential. The unit is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Under the contract, COSCO Nantong has also granted an option to the Shipowner pursuant to which the Shipowner may order another similar multipurpose wind farm support unit within six  months  from  the  contract.  COSCO said that they would make an announcement if the option is exercised.

COSCO‘s shipyard in Nantong is a subsidiary of COSCO’s 51% owned subsidiary, COSCO Shipyard Group.

Earlier this month the yard delivered the  Salvage  Lifting  Vessel »De Bo 3« to a Chinese buyer. The vessel measures 159.6 m in length over all, 38.8 m in breadth and 10.9 m in depth. Moreover, bulk carrier »Myrto«, measuring 229 m in length over all, 32.26 m in breadth and 20.05 m in depth, was handed over to a European customer.
