KotugSmit Towage started towing operations in the Port of Southampton – the 12th port in its European network.

The two tug boats »ZP Boxer« and »ZP Salvor« towed the 337 m long container vessel to the DP Wold Container Terminal Southampton. In this UK port, KotugSmit currently op[ds_preview]erates a fleet of four tugs with bollard pull ranging from 60 to 95 t. The selected tugs have been chosen for their outstanding capabilities, manoeuvrability and performance, the company stated.

Following the needs and requests of many of its customers, KotugSmit has studied the market requirements in Southampton, and concluded that this port is another stepping stone towards further expansion within the United Kingdom.
