The Liberian Registry has registred its 4,000th vessel – the 50,000 dwt chemical[ds_preview]/product tanker newbuilding »High Trust«, owned by d’Amico Tankers, a subsidiary of d’Amico International Shipping. Scott Bergeron, CEO of the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry (LISCR), the US-based manager of the Liberian Registry, says, »Size may not be everything. But ship registries which continue to build on their market share in a tightly regulated and safety-conscious sector by adding quality tonnage are clearly providing the service and expertise which today’s shipping industry demands.«
