ShipServ, a company that is focused on maritime e-procurement, has appointed Henrik Hyldahn as Senior Vice President of Business Development.
Based in ShipServ’s Copenhagen office, Hyldahn will focus on developing the business’ new ventures.
Hyldahn joins the company with a we[ds_preview]alth of knowledge and experience in the marine business, gleaned through previous roles from both the supplier and buyer sides. Before he was chief information officer at global maritime services group Seven Seas, he held the role of managing director at technical and strategic consultancy Cubisol. Prior to working at Seven Seas, he also held senior roles at Coca-Cola, the Carlsberg Group, and the Eitzen Group.
According to ShipServ the appointment of Hyldahn comes at an important time of growth for the company, as it looks to bring to market new products and solutions in line with the continuing digitalisation of the shipping industry.
According to own information ShipServ is the largest e-procurement platform for the marine, oil and gas industries, connecting purchasers (shipowners, managers, repair yards and oil rigs) with suppliers of spares, stores and anything else that is used on a ship. ShipServ are currently facilitating 3 bn $ of annual trade from over 200 buying companies, managing over 9,000 vessels and trading with over 65,000 suppliers in over 100 countries around the world.
