According to a press release from BIMCO, Copenhagen, the international shipping organisation[ds_preview] managed to get unnamed charterers to honour two arbitration awards totally amounting to around US$ 4.3 mill. The organisation had been involved by one of its members in October 2009 as »no response nor payment was forthcoming« and has reported the incident in a BIMCO Notice to its Members in January. Meanwhile it has been announced that debtors had transferred the awarded amount to the claimant on February 8, 2010.
