Asia-Europe rates increasing

CMA CGM has announced to increase their rates by US$ 200 per[ds_preview] TEU westbound ex Asian ports, including Japan, south-east Asia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, to all ports from Portugal to Russia in the western and eastern Mediterranean and in the Black Sea.

Coscon is going to increase freight for all shipments from southern China to North-West Europe and the Mediterranean, including Israel, Lebanon, Syria, north Africa, West Africa and the Black Sea by around $ 30 per each bill of lading.

Also Evergreen has announced to increase rates on its Far East / Indian sub-continent to Europe and the Mediterranean services as from 1 February, 2010. The Taiwanese carrier’s westbound rates on these services went up by US$ 250 per TEU. The increase applies to all cargo and commodities, including temperature-controlled and reefer freight.
