This year, the Port of Bremen will be hosting the biannual RORO[ds_preview] Exhibition and Conference covering the rolling cargo and roll-on / roll-off passengers (ro-pax) industries. At the Messe Bremen, from 18–20 May industry executives will find leading global players introducing their latest innovations, along with a high quality Conference.

This pivotal meeting forum for key owners / operators, suppliers and service providers of ro-ro transport will be in place to discuss how the ro-ro sector will navigate a way out of the economic downturn and comply to even more stringent environmental regulations.

The ports of Bremen, Bremerhaven and the Seaports of Niedersachsen have a reputation for excellence and form the largest cargo hub between the rivers Elbe and Ems. Bremerhaven alone is capable of handling more than 1,600 car carriers each year, including the largest vessels in operation. The terminal has a capacity to hold around 90,000 vehicles, and its main customers include car manufacturers such as Daimler and BMW. Additionally, later this year it will open its brand new Kaiser Lock Gate, further cementing its position as one of Europe’s key vehicle import / export ports.

As trade begins to pick up the region is poised to play a leading role in the future of RoRo-transportation. bremenports is now one of the world’s largest automobile hubs and is capable of importing and exporting more than two million vehicles each year, making the city an ideal location to hold this year’s RORO event.
