Chris Connor appointed Deputy CEO

Christopher J. Connor has been appointed the new[ds_preview] Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) globally effective October 1, 2010. Mr. Connor will take on his new role in addition to his current position as Head of Region Americas. He will continue to be based at the company’s Americas headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, USA, while reporting directly to WWL’s CEO Arild Iversen. Mr. Connor will replace Mr. Anders Boman, who has been named the new Chief Executive of Wallenius Lines in Stockholm. Mr. Connor has nearly 30 years of experience in the maritime and logistics sectors. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer for WWL’s Ocean Services division at its global corporate headquarters in Oslo, Norway. Mr. Connor joined Wallenius Lines in 1994 in the USA as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. When Wallenius Lines and Wilhelmsen Lines formed Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics in July 1999, Mr. Connor was named Executive Vice President of Region Americas. He relocated to the company’s global corporate headquarters in the summer of 2001 and took up the position of Head of the Commercial division in August 2001. He became Chief Operating Officer of the company’s Ocean Services division in March 2002, prior to being appointed as President of Region Americas in 2004.
