Aida Cruises welcomes its eighth Club Ship this year: »Aida Sol« which is due to be named in Kiel on[ds_preview] April 9, 2011 before setting course on a maiden cruise in Northern Europe. With a GRT of 71,100, the ship provides ample space for new attractions, fresh designs and innovative ideas. The new cruiseliner is currently under construction in Meyer Werft’s building dock II. Just like her sister ships, the »Aida Sol« has a length overall of 252 m and a breadth of 32 m. A half deck worth of space was added to this ship just as to the »Aida Blu«. Hence the guests can relax and recover in one of the largest spa areas on a cruise ship. The owner and the yard have implemented a state-of-the-art ship that meets not only the highest standards in terms of quality and eco-friendliness, but also offers the guests the best possible comfort on board. Another newbuilding for Aida Cruises will follow in 2012.
