Furuno presents the satellite communication service called SafeComNet providing regional and global[ds_preview] satellite communication services to the shipping industry. It combines airtime provision with the satellite communication products FV-100 VSAT terminal and FELCOM500/FELCOM250 Fleet Broadband terminals. The satellite communication solutions are tailored to meet the requirement of the customers both in terms of airtime/satellite coverage and the technical configuration.
The company will display the offshore navigational system solution complying with the DNV NAUTOSV requirements along with Furunos new BR-500 Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System complying with the IMO Resolution MSC.128 (75) for Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS).
In 2011 Furuno launches a new set of displays to be used for the ECDIS FEA-2107 and Radar FAR-28×7. The displays have an elegant design suitable for flush and bracket mounting and they have improved image quality and contrast. At the Furuno stand, customers can receive information about Furuno’s type specific ECDIS training course, IMO ECDIS Model Course 1.27, BRM/ERM training and other training products from Furuno INS Training Centre along with information about Furunos NavSkills solutions.
