This arrangement provides combination of software and hardware solutions. The conference sessions so far scheduled will focus on the following topics:

• Session 1: CO2, covering carbon trading, etc.

• Session 2: ECAs, scrubber technology

• Session 3: Ballast water and sewage

• Session 4: Green initiatives

»gmec 2012 is the perfect platform to present efficient green technology, which is already mandatory under IMO regulations to prevent marine pollution and is currently the dominating subject in the global shipping and shipbuilding industries, simply for reasons of cost«, noted Dirk Lehmann, Steering Committee gmec, Vice-President EMEC, and Managing Director at Becker Marine Systems. The organizers expect 300 to 400 participants at gmec.
