Amarcon has noticed an increasing interest for her decision support solutions and[ds_preview] hydrodynamic analysis software. Hansa Heavy Lift GmbH ordered an Octopus Office-System, a hydrodynamic analysis program for the calculation of seakeeping characteristics. Octopus-Office 6 has a user interface which provides technical solution for evaluation and interpretation of hydrodynamic calculations. The order included the »Multibody«, a function to demonstrate the effects on the crane load. Harren & Partner / Offshore Installation Group (OIG) placed an order for three Octopus-Onboard systems for the multipurpose heavylift vessels of the OIG Giant type. SAL Heavy lift ordered a Crane Motion Monitoring solution for her vessel SAL Type 183 » Lone«. This installation will be expanded with an system for motion monitoring and advice during weather sensitive operations. The installed system shall be compliant with the requirements of Germanischer Lloyd for use of cranes offshore.
