Strategic cooperation with Rosmorport

The Finnish Cargotec group has signed an agreement of strategic cooperation with[ds_preview] Rosmorport. It improves Cargotec’s possibilities for a dialogue about Russian marine transport infrastructure development and enables involvement in the information flow for regulation in Eurasian ports. »The strategy of seaport infrastructure development in Russia until 2030 is aimed at doubling the port capacity within next ten years«, said Andrey Lavrishchev, General Director of Rosmorport. The state enterprise operates seaports of the Russian Federation and has a large icebreaker fleet.

Meanwhile, Cargotec has also announced the outfitting of the first vessel with complete electrically-driven RoRo access equipment. The 4,000-unit pure car truck carrier »Iris Ace« is owned and operated by Japanese company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and features an electrically-driven MacGregor stern quarter ramp/door, side ramps and two movable ramps.
