Danish DBB Jack-Up Services in Aarhus has ordered a Wind Turbine[ds_preview] Service Jack-up Vessel at Nordic Yards. The construction of the vessel will be carried out at the yards in Rostock-Warnemünde and Wismar. DBB has developed the concept of the vessel based on the experience with the self-elevating jack-up vessel »Wind«. The focus of the design is on the development of the jack-up system. The 80 m long and 32 m wide vessel is suitable for works at a water depth of up to 45 m and can replace wind turbine components at a height of up to 100 m with the onboard crane. Start of construction is planned for spring 2013, delivery is scheduled for spring 2014. Additionally, there is an option for the construction of two more vessels.
