In 2013, Schaller Automation celebrates the 50,000th diesel, gas and dual-fuel engine being protected against crankcase explosions by a Visatron Oil Mist Detection System. The first series-production started in the early 1970s and has developed to become a success story since. The Visatron systems h[ds_preview]ave been optimised over the years and make the German company today the »market leader in the field of oil mist detection systems for crankcase protection,« Schaller states.
At Marintec Schaller Automation displays its Visatron system type VN215/87plus as well as a prototype of its new pipeless OMD system VN301plus, designed to match requirements especially for 2-stroke diesel, gas and dual-fuel engines. The 301plus system will be available also in ATEX execution.
