1 – Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG): Markus Bartsch will[ds_preview] be the new CEO of the shipyard with effect 1 January 2015. This step is part of a re-organisation at the management level, to respond with enhanced competence to more challenging market conditions. Bartsch will join Frank Bywater who will remain as chief technical officer. The previous CEO Peter Sierk takes over the position as CEO of the new parent company NSH (Norddeutsche Schiffbau-Holding). There he will be responsible for the strategic planning of FSG.

2 – PKF Fasselt Schlage: Lars Heymann (43) becomes a partner at medium-sized auditing and tax consulting expert PKF Fasselt Schlage in Hamburg. He has been a member of the management since January 2011.

3 – W. Ludolph: Ingo Blazek has taken the lead at traditional nautical and aeronautical instruments specialist W. Ludolph. Prior to his new job Blazek worked as general manager in charge of W. Ludolph’s CNC production. The company specializes in production, distribution and service in nautical instruments as well as measurement instrumentation, CNC chipping and construction of special machinery.

4 – Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft (LHG): Coming into effect 1 October, Ben David Thurnwald (45) will take the role of sole managing director at LHG subsidiaries Service-Gesellschaft (SG), Skandic Service Gesellschaft (SSG) and Nordic Rail Service (NRS). He succeeds Rainer Kuschinsky who retires. Thurnwald has worked as second managing director to Kuschinsky for the recent years.

5 – Lloyd Werft: Dirk Petersjohann (44) has joined the board of the Lloyd Werft on

1 August. Following their re-organisation into the Bremerhaven Shipbuilding Alliance, Lloyd Werft, German Dry Docks and MWB want to create more synergies. The main job of the engineering graduate is to join Rüdiger Pallentin and Carsten J. Haake on the board in strengthening sales. He will also take over the design sector and further stimulate offshore business. Petersjohann previously worked for Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) and Abeking & Rasmussen. His new job will also be to coordinate engine works, machinery and engineering activities of all three companies in Bremerhaven.

6 – Liberian Registry: Alfonso Castillero, former director-general of the Panama Registry, has joined the Liberian Registry as vice president. Castillero worked for 16 years in the Panamanian maritime sector, rising through the ranks to become head of the registry and director-general of the merchant marine.

7 – Siemens: Dirk Hoke (45) is CEO at the business unit Large Drives of Siemens’ division Drive Technologies since 1 July. The degreed engineer has been working at Siemens since 1996. In 2011 he took the lead of Industry Solutions division and in October the same year he changed for the Customer Services division.

8 – Dockstavarvet: Anders Hellman (40) has been appointed managing director of Dockstavarvet as of 1 September. For the last three years Hellman has been sales manager at a large Japanese company in the maritime industry. Following his appointment, Torbjörn Larsson will retire as managing director. He will continue as a senior advisor to Dockstavarvet.
