Shortly after appointing a first COO, international commercial law firm Hill Dickinson now announced the arriving of Julian Clark as new Global Head of Shipping.

Clark will join in January 2017. He is a founding partner of Campbell Johnston Clark (CJC) and specialises in both wet[ds_preview] and dry shipping. Prior to founding CJC, Julian spent seven years as a partner at Holman Fenwick Willan LLP. He will be based in Hill Dickinson’s City of London office but will travel between the firm’s international offices in Piraeus, Monaco, Hong Kong and Singapore, Hill Dickinson announced.

Maria Pittordis who leads the marine, trade and energy division at Hill Dickinson said: »Julian is a first class lawyer with proven ability to grow a business in the marine market where he is highly respected. We are very excited to recruit Julian at this important time as the shipping teams across our offices continue to expand.«

Clark commented aims to develope the firm’s global business with the international marine teams. »The company recognises that in this challenging market, clients require a new and innovative approach to the provision and cost of legal services. I am both delighted and honoured that they have selected me to take this initiative forward«, he commented.

A few weeks ago, the law firm appointed Ian Johnston as the first COO of the company. The appointment was part of wider changes to the management structure which saw Peter Jackson named as CEO and David Wareing becoming Chairman.
