Professor of Marine Engineering / Ship Operations at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Holger Watter is an expert in maritime energy and system engineering with over 40 years of experience. He leads the STG Ship Machinery Committee and chairs the DIN committee for ship and marine technology. His work spans research, standardization (e.g. hydrogen roadmap), and publications, focusing on system-based, evidence-driven analysis of maritime energy systems, including hybrid solutions.

Federico Puente Espel, PhD
Maritime Nuclear Strategy Leader,
Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore
Federico Puente Espel, PhD, brings over 20 years of experience in the nuclear sector, gained across six countries and international organizations. He is an expert in nuclear in the maritime civil applications and advanced reactor technologies. With a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and extensive leadership experience, he supports the IAEA, NEA, and European Commission as an international expert.

Jose Esteve Otegui
Offshore Gas & Power Market Leader,
Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore
Jose Esteve Otegui holds a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture and an Executive Master in Energy Management. With 24 years of experience at Bureau Veritas, he has built his career primarily in the offshore oil and gas industry, with significant positions in Paris and Singapore. He has represented IACS at the IAEA advisory group for floating nuclear power plants and currently serves as a member of the nuclear project team.
