KJ low pressure water mist sprinkler system program with use of fresh or sea water offers a modern water mist fire protection program to some of the markets lowest water and power supply requirements.
The automatic water mist nozzles, for fire protection on board yachts or cruise ships in public spaces, storage rooms, corridors and cabins and other accommodation areas are designed to be installed concealed in ceiling and wall panelling. The sensitive glass bulb release element of the sprinkler nozzles is permanently protected behind a protection plate attached to the sprinklers to protect the glass bulb during system installation, and against vandalism of installed systems. The water mist sprinkler program also includes sprinklers for side wall installation in cabin wall panelling, allowing KJ to fire protect cabins without installing pipes in cabin ceilings.
Freshwater without additives or even sea water can be used for fire protection of engine and pump rooms. This local fire protection is offered with low water mist nozzles installed 0,75 m to 11 m above hot spots and local applications to be protected.
For main fire protection systems in engine and pump rooms, KJ provides full flooding fire protection with only one level of low pressure water mist nozzles easily installed in engine rooms of up to 10 m in ceiling height and in accordance with IMO scaling role of 2010, with floor areas of up to 570 m².
