»Prima«, the new 53.9 m Columbus 177 super yacht built by Italian Palumbo shipyard, has been awarded the additional notation[ds_preview] class RINA Green Star Plus during the Monaco Yacht Show. In addition to her ABS Classification, the voluntary notation is based on an environmental performance index which covers all aspects of the vessel’s impact in the environment, most importantly carbon emissions. The prize was awarded by the Prince Albert II of Monaco at the presence of his guest His Majesty the King of Spain. During the show, Palumbo also signed a contract for the construction of a Columbus 125 Hybrid vessel. The 37.9 m super yacht has an optional diesel electric hybrid propulsion system, built with the intention of having a minimal impact on the environment with a large cruising range of 5,000 nm.
