The Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines (CSICE), as the National Member of the International Council on Combustion Engines (CIMAC[ds_preview]), will organise the 27th CIMAC World Congress, which is scheduled for 13 to 16 May 2013 in Shanghai. The Congress is devoted to

the presentation of papers in the fields of marine, power generation and locomotive engine research and development covering state-of-the-art technologies as well as the application of such engines. The program of the next CIMAC World Congress will consist of the following topics:

• diesel engines: product development fuel and combustion, environment

• gas and dual fuel engines

• piston engines

• aftertreatment of exhaustgas

• tribology

• component and maintenance technology

• integrated systems and electronic control of piston engines, gas and steam turbines and applications

• turbochargers

• users’ aspects: marine and land-based applications (power generation, CHP, oil and gas, rail etc.)
