First steel-cutting has taken place at German Meyer Werft’s laser centre in Papenburg which marks the start of construction[ds_preview] of the formerly under the code name »Project Sunshine« known vessels. The first newbuilding for Royal Caribbean International will be named »Quantum of the Seas« with scheduled delivery for October 2014. »Anthem of the Seas«, the second ship, is planned to be delivered in spring 2015. With a tonnage of 167,000 GT, the ships will offer capacities for approximately 4,100 passengers.
