The new cruise liner »Europa 2« (40,000 GT) from Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten will make her maiden voyage in May. The[ds_preview] vessel will be christened at Hamburg’s port anniversary one day before her maiden trip starts on 10 May.

With a length of 225 m and a draught of 6.30 m, the five-star-plus luxury cruise vessel built by STX France is capable of calling at small, rarely visited ports such as Bonifacio and Portofino. It offers space for 516 passengers in 251 suites of seven different categories, measuring from 28–99 m2 in size. In the highest categories own whirlpools with ocean view are provided. Furthermore, on eleven decks the luxury liner features eight restaurants, six bars, a 1,000 m2 wellness and sports area, as well as a theatre with modern stage technology and a large LED wall extending across two stories.

In summer »Europa 2« cruises the Western and Eastern Mediterranean – in trips that least seven days –, and in winter the vessel will sail to destinations at the Arabian Peninsula and Southeast Asia in 13–20 day cruises.
