In preparation for the next project, Dörries Maritime Services (DMS) announced that it has identified an ideal building facility. »Strategically[ds_preview] located in northern Germany, the facilities are close to some of industries best subcontractors and suppliers, permitting to build yachts with German pedigree and quality,« the Bremen based company said. It provides client services from conceptual design to construction and after-sales. DMS is also developing a range of technical motor yacht platforms from 50 to 90 m. A proposal for a 85 m yacht, currently on the drawing boards of H2 Yacht Design, is to premier shortly.
Meanwhile the joint project with Blohm + Voss, megayacht »Graceful« (82 m), is still under construction in Hamburg and will be delivered by the end of the year. Thanks to the combined project management team, consisting of the owner’s representative supported by DMS and selected B + V staff, the construction time of this full custom yacht will be just about three years at delivery.
