The Norwegian propulsion company Stadt AS has signed a contract with the Swedish defence and security group Saab AB.
The contract relates to the delivery of the patented electric drive system »Stadt Lean Propulsion« to be integrated in one of the ship projects of Saab, Stadt said[ds_preview] in a statement.
»The Lean approach has created a AC drive technology that has unique performance like Stealth noise free, extreme reliability and life time, cost efficient, low weight and compact footprint«, it is said. ?Hallvard Slettevoll, the CEO of Stadt, says that the contract is an important part of their strategy to bring the Lean Propulsion Design also in to the international naval fleets.
Bassd in Gjerdsvika, Norway, Stadt describes itself as a supplier of totally integrated electric systems, including generators, switchboards, motor drives / inverters, power management systems, integrated alarm and monitoring systems, electric motors and DP systems.
