Since 2012 the two propulsion system suppliers, Norwegian Brunvoll AS and Finnish Steerprop Ltd. intensify their cooperation in order to[ds_preview] give their common customers – shipyards, ship owners, designers – an attractive »package« option of propulsion and manoeuvring equipment. The partnership is not limited to deliveries of mechanical equipment, but also includes cooperation with delivery of control and automation systems and after sales services.
The composition of above mentioned »package« solution is that Brunvoll provides tunnel and retractable Azimuth thrusters, both for manoeuvring and dynamic positioning, as well as main Azimuth propulsors based on controllable pitch propellers. Steerprop provides main Azimuth propulsors with fixed pitch propellers.
Steinbach Ingenieurtechnik has confirmed the expansion of its portfolio after an already two years lasting co-operation with Steerprop on April 1st 2015, together with the successful supply of the main propulsion plants for »Ceona Amazon« by officially signing a mutual contract.
SI-Technik, (Brunvoll Germany) is now acting as official and certified distribution and service partner of the Finish manufacturer in Germany. As a current reference SI-Technik has equipped »Ceona Amazon« with three Azimuth-Propellers attached at the stern. Apart from the each 3,500 kW performing Azimuths of Steerprop a bow thruster with variable pitch propellers Type FU-93 as well as three retractable Azimuth-Thrusters of 2,400 kW each, Type AR 100 of Brunvoll were supplied to the vessel by SI-Technik.
